INGREDIENTS

  • 15 - 20 paneer cubes
  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp rice flour
  • 1 tbsp gram flour
  • 2 tsp corn starch
  • 2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  • salt as per taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 2 dry red chillies
  • 1 cup finely chopped onion
  • curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp all ground spice
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • For coconut rice
  • 1 cup of rice
  • 2 cup of water
  • 1/2 tsp split black gram
  • 1/2 tsp urad dal
  • 2 dry red chillies
  • 2 tbsp grated coconut
  • oil
  • For garnish
  • melon seeds

PREPARATION

    In a bowl, add paneer cubes, all-purpose flour and toss it. In another bowl, add rice, water and soak it for 30 minutes. Add the rice in boiling water and let it cook.

    In another bowl, add yoghurt, ginger - garlic paste, lemon juice and mix it well. Add rice flour, gram flour, corn starch, Kashmiri red chilli powder and mix it well. Add the paneer cubes and leave it to marinate for 30 minutes. Add salt as per taste and mix.

    Deep fry the paneer in hot oil until it turns golden. In a heated pan, add oil, mustard seeds, dry red chillies and saute. Add finely chopped onion, curry leaves and saute. Add finely chopped garlic, ginger and mix it well.

    Add red chilli powder, all ground spice and mix it well. Add the fried paneer, marination, lemon juice, sugar and stir it.

    In a heated, pan add oil, split black gram, urad dal, mustard seeds, curry leaves, dry red chillies, grated coconut and mix. Add boiled rice, salt as per taste and mix it.

    Garnish with melon seeds and serve.
