INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2 refined flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp icing sugar
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • water
  • 1/2 cup refined flour
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder
  • icing sugar for garnish

HOW TO PREPARE PAN DULCE

  1. 1

    In a bowl add refined flour egg, baking soda, baking powder, butter, icing sugar, salt, granulated sugar, and water as required (you can substitute this with milk).

    Mix the ingredients.

    Knead it into a soft dough.
  4. 4

    On a counter top, roll the dough and break it into small balls.
  5. 5

    In another bowl, add refined flour, butter, icing sugar.
  6. 6

    Mix them well.
  7. 7

    Add cocoa powder and knead gently.
  8. 8

    Shift the dough to a counter top.
  9. 9

    Flatten the dough and cut round pieces using a cutter.
  10. 10

    Remove the round pieces from the counter top with the help of a knife and place them on top of the small balls (made in the previous step).

    Place the balls in a pan and move them to the oven.
  12. 12

    Bake them for 10 12 minutes at 160 175 C.

    Remove the pan from the oven.
  14. 14

    Sprinkle icing sugar on top of the baked buns.
