INGREDIENTS

  • 200 gm soaked black eyes peas & urad dal
  • 5 - 6 garlic cloves
  • coriander as required
  • 9 - 10 raisins
  • 1/2 cup yoghurt
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 3 - 4 green chillies
  • 1 cup besan (gram flour)
  • oil for frying
  • For pyaaz ke pakode
  • 3 onions
  • 1 - 2 tsp flax seeds
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp carom seeds
  • 1 cup besan (gram flour)
  • oil for frying
  • For palak ke pakode
  • 1/2 cup besan (gram flour)
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp asafoetida
  • water as required
  • 6 - 8 spinach leaves
  • oil for frying
  • For kele ke phool ke pakode
  • 200 gm banana flower
  • 5 - 6 curry leaves
  • salt as taste
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup rice flour
  • oil for frying

PREPARATION

  1. 1

    To make dal pakoras, mix soaked black eyes peas and urad dal, garlic, coriander leaves, raisins, curd, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric and green chilli in a bowl.

    Add gram flour to the mixture and mix well.
  3. 3

    Fry the mixture in oil in small batches.
  4. 4

    Dal pakodas are ready to serve.

    To make onion pakodas, mix slice onions, flax seed, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, carom seeds in a bowl.

    Add gram flour and mix again.

    Fry the mixture in oil in small batches.

    Onion pakodas are ready to serve.

    To make palak pakodas, mix gram flour, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, asafoetida and water in a bowl.

    Dip the spinach leaves in the batter and coat well.

    Fry the spinach leaves in oil.

    Palak pakodas are ready to serve.

    To make banana flower pakodas, mix banana flowers, curry leaves, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric and black pepper in a bowl.

    Add rice flour and mix again.

    Fry the mixture in oil in small batches.
  16. 16

    Sprinkle red chilli powder on the pakodas and serve the pakodas hot.
