  • FOR Fish In Lemon Caper Sauce
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 125 ml water
  • 2 vanilla pods
  • 5 6 oranges
  • sliced
  • FOR Batter
  • 150 gm butter
  • 150 gm Caster sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 gm Refined flour
  • 50 gm almond powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp vanilla essence

    Heat a pan, add caster sugar water and vanilla pods, let the sugar dissolve and then place the sliced oranges, simmer until the oranges become soft.

    To prepare the batter, take butter in a bowl, add caster sugar and beat the mixture, add the eggs one by one while you beat the mixture.

    In the bowl of flour, add the almond powder and baking powder and vanilla essence and mix.

    Pour the syrup in the baking tin and line up the oranges perfectly.

    Place the vanilla pods and then pour the prepared batter.

    Bake in a pre heated oven at 160 170 C for 25 35 minutes.

    Turn the cake upside down on a plate and serve.
