INGREDIENTS

  • ½ tsp yeast dry
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • water
  • ½ cups refined flour
  • salt
  • orange juice
  • refined flour for dusting
  • water for brushing
  • grated cheese

HOW TO PREPARE ORANGE STRAWS

    In a small bowl dissolve yeast and sugar in water.

    Knead a dough with refined flour, salt, dissolved yeast mixture, and orange juice.
  3. 3

    Cover the dough with a muslin cloth and let it rest for 10 min.
  4. 4

    Dust refined flour on the platform.
  5. 5

    Pinch a large portion from the dough and roll out an oblong roti.
  6. 6

    Cut medium sized strips using a knife.
  7. 7

    Apply water on the strips using a brush and spread grated cheese.
  8. 8

    Twist and turn the strips to give shape.
  9. 9

    Bake the orange straws in a pre heated oven for 15 min at 180 C.
  10. 10

    Serve the sticks in shot glasses.
