INGREDIENTS

  • 1½ cup refined flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • 1 ¼ tbsp cinnamon powder
  • 2 tbsp white butter
  • orange juice
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 300 ml condensed milk
  • ¼ cup pistachio
  • 2 - 3 tsp olive oil
  • 2 - 3 tsp orange zest grated
  • salt
  • water
  • ¼ cup grated dark chocolate
  • icing sugar

PREPARATION

    In a bowl, mix refined flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cinnamon powder, white butter, orange juice, olive oil and condensed milk, and knead the mixture into a soft dough.

    Dust some flour and roll out the dough into a flat sheet. Sprinkle the chopped pistachios and roll out again. Spread some olive oil on the rolled sheet and sprinkle the cinnamon powder and orange zest on it.

    Roll the sheet to form a Swiss roll and seal the end with some orange juice or butter. Cut the roll into small roundels and flatten them with the hands. Proof them for an hour.

    Place the rolls on a baking tray and bake them in a pre heated oven at 180' C for 12 minutes. Prepare a glaze by heating condensed milk, water, grated dark and chocolate in a pan. Coat the cinnamon rolls with glaze while they are hot.

    Garnish with chopped pistachios and icing sugar and serve.
