INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup corn flour
  • 1/2 cup spinach
  • 2 - 3 garlic cloves
  • grated cheese
  • 8 - 10 button mushrooms
  • 1 1/2 tbsp oil
  • water
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • oil for frying
  • chilli flakes
  • For garnish
  • bell pepper juliennes
  • ketchup
  • chilli flakes

PREPARATION

  1. 1

    In a bowl add corn flour, water and mix it well. Finely chop the spinach leaves.
  2. 2

    In a heated pan, add oil, chopped garlic and saute it. Add chopped spinach, salt as per taste and give it a quick stir. Add the spinach mixture in a bowl and leave it to cool.
  3. 3

    Remove the stem of the mushrooms. Finely chop the mushroom stems and add it the spinach mixture. Add grated cheese, chilli flakes and mix it. Add the filling in the mushroom and invert another mushroom on the top.

    Seal the mushroom with a toothpick. Dip the mushroom in the mixture of cornflour and then coat it with breadcrumbs. Deep fry the mushrooms in the hot oil until it turns golden brown.

    Cut the mushroom into halves. Garnish with bell pepper juliennes, ketchup topped with chilli flakes and serve.
