    For mushroom mixture: Marinate the mushrooms with turmeric powder, and let them rest in a bowl.

    For the blended spices: Roast grated coconut, shallots, garlic cloves and curry leaves in a frying pan.

    Saut� them well.

    Then, add turmeric powder, garam masala, red chilli powder and coriander powder.

    Saut� and mix all the spices well.
  6. 6

    Transfer this mixture into a blender.

    Blend till it reaches a fine consistency.

    To prepare the curry: Heat oil in a saucepan.
  9. 9

    Add mustard seeds, chopped onions, green chillies, curry leaves, meat masala powder and black pepper powder.

    Mix well.

    Then, add in the mushroom mixture and the blended spices, plus salt and tamarind pulp.

    Keeping mixing and finally pour water.
  13. 13

    Stir well and allow to simmer for 5 minutes.

    Your mushroom curry is ready to be served.
