INGREDIENTS

  • 2 fish head
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 4 tbsp mustard oil
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 dry red chillies
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp jeera powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 cup gobindorbhog rice
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup of water

PREPARATION

    In a bowl, add fish head, salt as per taste, turmeric powder and mix it.

    In a heated pan, add mustard oil, marinated fish. Add the fried fish in a bowl. In the same pan, fry the potatoes and add them in a plate.

    In the same pan, add bay leaf, dry red chillies, cumin. Add chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste and saute. Add turmeric powder, water, jeera powder, red chilli powder.

    Add tomato puree, salt as per taste, gobindorbhog rice, sugar and mix it well. Add fried potatoes, fish, water and let it cook on slow flame.

    Serve the Muri Ghonto hot.
