- 200 gm soaked moong dal
- 1 inch ginger grated
- 1 - 2 green chillies
- 1 onion
- 1 tbsp cumin seeds
- 3 - 4 tbsp ghee
- 2 dried red chillies
- 1 lemon
- Heat water in a pan and and add the soaked moong dal salt. Cover and cook until the dal is done.
- Add some water, grated ginger and cook the dal again. Roast the cumin seeds in a pan and crush them using a rolling pin.
- Mash the dal using a blender. Heat ghee in a pan and add the dried red chillies. Pour the tempering over the dal and mix.
- Serve the Moradabadi dal with roasted cumin seeds, green chillies, chopped onions and lemon wedges.
