INGREDIENTS

  • 200 gm soaked moong dal
  • water
  • salt
  • 1 inch ginger grated
  • 1 - 2 green chillies
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 3 - 4 tbsp ghee
  • 2 dried red chillies
  • 1 lemon

PREPARATION

    Heat water in a pan and and add the soaked moong dal salt. Cover and cook until the dal is done.

    Add some water, grated ginger and cook the dal again. Roast the cumin seeds in a pan and crush them using a rolling pin.
  3. 3

    Mash the dal using a blender. Heat ghee in a pan and add the dried red chillies. Pour the tempering over the dal and mix.

    Serve the Moradabadi dal with roasted cumin seeds, green chillies, chopped onions and lemon wedges.
