  • 2 tbsp clarified butter
  • 1 cup split green gram
  • 2 to 3 tbsp soaked rice
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp dry fruit powder
  • salt to taste
  • water as required
  • For Garnish: 1 to 2 tbsp dry fruits powder, Mint leaves

    Heat clarified butter in a pan. When the butter melts add the split green gram and soaked rice. Mix well. Pour sufficient water. Add turmeric powder salt, and dry fruit powder. Mix well and let the khichdi cook until done. Transfer the khichdi to a plate. Garnish with dry fruits powder and mint leaves.
