  • 2 tbsp clarified butter
  • 1 cup split green gram
  • 2 to 3 tbsp soaked rice
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp dry fruit powder
  • salt to taste
  • water as required
  • For Garnish: 1 to 2 tbsp dry fruits powder
  • Mint leaves

HOW TO PREPARE MOONG DAL KHICHDI

    Heat clarified butter in a pan.

    When the butter melts add the split green gram and soaked rice.
  3. 3

    Mix well.
  4. 4

    Pour sufficient water.
  5. 5

    Add turmeric powder salt, and dry fruit powder.
  6. 6

    Mix well and let the khichdi cook until done.
  7. 7

    Transfer the khichdi to a plate.
  8. 8

    Garnish with dry fruits powder and mint leaves.
