INGREDIENTS

  • 3 tbsp Desi Ghee
  • 2 cups Lotus Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Desi Ghee
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Coconut Chips
  • Salt
  • 1/4 cup Ground Nuts
  • 20 gms Cashew Nuts
  • 20 gms Almonds
  • 1/4 cup Roasted Gram
  • 20 gms Raisins
  • 1 tbsp Finely Chopped Dry Red Chillies
  • 12 Curry Leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • Pinch of Hing
  • 2 tsp Powdered Sugar

HOW TO PREPARE MAZEDAAR MAKHANA

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a kadai or thick pan
  2. 2

    Add the phool makhana and roast on medium-low flame
  3. 3

    There will not be much of color change
  4. 4

    Remove in a bowl
  5. 5

    In the same oil, dry roast coconut chips, ground nuts, cashews, almonds, roasted gram and raisins
  6. 6

    Remove them in a bowl
  7. 7

    In the same kadai, add red chilies, curry leaves, turmeric powder and hing
  8. 8

    Add all the fried ingredients and toss salt and sugar powder to it
  9. 9

    Toss quickly 3-4 times
  10. 10

    Cool thoroughly
  11. 11

    Store in airtight container and serve makhana chivda as required
