Mawa Petha
These crunchy mawa treats made from dried whole milk are a Rajasthani delicacy and can be garnished with some dry fruits and mint leaves.

  • 250 gms grainy mawa
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 50 gms Sugar
  • 1 tbsp pistachios
  • Dry fruits
  • Water
  • 200 gms Sugar


  1. 1

    Warm ghee in thick bottom pan and highly roast mawa.
  2. 2

    Add Sugar in mawa and mix well till Sugar is dissolved.
  3. 3

    Add finafly chopped pistachios, mix well and swich off flame.
  4. 4

    Cool down the mixture and spread it on a flate tray and shape in rectangular block.

    Refrigerate the mawa block.
  6. 6

    In a another pan make Sugar syrup.
  7. 7

    Cut the mawa block into 3 to 4 pieces and put them on wire mash.
  8. 8

    Pour the Sugar syrup over mawa pieces and refrigerate them till Sugar hardens.
  9. 9

    Garnish with edible silver spray, mint sprin, chopped pistachios, almonds.
