INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • ½ tbsp chopped garlic
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 2 green chillies
  • slit
  • 1 tsp panch phoran masala
  • ½ cup split red lentils
  • soaked
  • water as required
  • ½ cup black gram wadi
  • soaked
  • For Accompaniment ½ cup rice flour
  • salt to taste
  • water as required
  • 1 tsp oil
  • For Garnish Coriander leaves
  • Grated Coconut
  • jaggery

PREPARATION

    In a pan add mustard oil, chopped garlic, panch phoran masala, sliced onion, slit green chillies, soaked split red lentils, water, and salt. Boil the mixture. Once the soup is cooked add the soaked black gram wadi. For the rice flour crepes batter, combine rice flour, and salt in a bowl. Mix well. In another pan, heat oil and pour the rice flour batter to make a thin crepe. Roll the crepe. Transfer the soup to a bowl. Serve the soup hot with the rolled rice crepe. Garnish with coriander leaves, grated coconut, and jaggery.
