INGREDIENTS

  • 3 boiled potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 1 cup boiled split red lentils
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 2 to 3 tbsp bread crumbs
  • powdered black pepper
  • All purpose flour as required
  • oil for frying
  • salt
  • For Burger Bun 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 burger bun
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 onion
  • mint chutney
  • For Garnish Tomato sauce

HOW TO PREPARE MASOOR TIKKI BURGER

  1. 1

    In a deep bowl add chopped boiled potatoes, onion, tomato, green chilli, garlic, and boiled split red lentils.
  2. 2

    Mix with red chilli powder, black pepper powder, and salt mash well add breadcrumbs.
  3. 3

    Place a little all purpose flour in a plate for coating the burger.
  4. 4

    Shape the potato lentil mixture into a patty.
  5. 5

    Coat it with the flour and fry it in boiling oil.
  6. 6

    In a separate pan, toast the burger bun with butter.
  7. 7

    Thinly slice the tomato and the onion.
  8. 8

    Grease the bun with the mint chutney.
  9. 9

    Add the fried patty and sliced tomato and onion.
  10. 10

    Serve with tomato sauce.
