Masala Chai Brulee

Crème Brulee is a popular French dessert. Chef Pankaj Bhadouria gives this French dessert an Indian twist by using masala tea. The Masala Chai Brulee is soft, creamy and refreshing.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp chai masala
  • 1 bunch green tea leaves
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 800 grams of heavy cream
  • Sugar

HOW TO PREPARE MASALA CHAI BRULEE

  1. 1

    In a saucepan, add milk, chai masala, green tea leaves and let it boil Strain the milk in a bowl and let it cool down.

    In a bowl, add egg yolks, sugar and mix it well Add heavy cream and mix it well Pour the milk in and mix it again.
  3. 3

    Grease the ramekins with butter Fill the batter in it and bake it in the oven at 180'C for 40 - 45 minutes.
  4. 4

    Sprinkle sugar over it and caramelise it using a blow torch Serve with cookie crumble.
