INGREDIENTS

  • 125 gms Flour
  • 5 gms Yeast
  • 5 gms Sugar
  • Water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Butter
  • Sautéed ginger and Garlic
  • 1 Green Chilli
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 bunch Coriander leaves

PREPARATION

    In another bowl, take 5 gms yeast, 5 gms sugar, 1 tbsp water, mix well and rest. On a workstation, take 125 gms flour, add 1 tsp salt, rested yeast mixture and knead into a dough using water. Add 1 tsp butter and knead again. Place the dough in a bowl and cover it with a muslin cloth. Rest the dough for 2 hours. Knead the dough again and add sautéed ginger and garlic. Add 1 finely chopped green chilli, ½ tsp mustard powder, ½ tsp chilli powder and chopped coriander. Knead the dough again to mix the seasoning. Flatten the dough and make a book fold. Repeat the process to form a loaf. Grease the baking tray with olive oil and place the loaf on it. Rest it for an hour. Brush the dough with milk and sprinkle some water on it. Bake it in a preheated oven at 180-200’C for 20-25 minute. Masala Bread is ready.
