  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • a pinch of turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 cups spring onions
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 cup water
  • oil for deep frying

    In a mixing bowl, throw in all the dry ingredients and mix well.

    Add the water and mix again till a thick batter is formed.

    For deep-frying purposes, pour oil into the kadhai. Once the oil is hot, put spoonfuls of batter into the oil.

    Fry the pakoras till they are golden brown and crisp. Remove them from the pan and dab some tissue paper on them to remove excess oil. Pakoras are best served piping hot!.
