Malva Pudding
A soft and yummy pudding, this South African dessert is perfect for a lazy Sunday.

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 115 gms Butter
  • 100 gms Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 200 ml Milk
  • 2 tbsp Apricot Jam
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Cream
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • 50 ml Sugar Syrup
  • 1 Kiwi Fruit
  • 7 to 8 Blueberries

    In a sauce pan melt 115 gms butter and add 100 gms sugar.
  2. 2

    In a bowl break 1 egg and whisk, add 200 ml milk, melted butter and sugar mixture, 2 tbsp apricot jam, 2 tbsp fresh cream and again whisk together.

    In another bowl take 1 cup flour and add 1 tsp baking soda.

    Add flour to egg mixture still smooth and in the end add 1 tsp of vinegar.

    Pour the batter in a cake mould till half and put it for baking at 180 degrees for 40-50 minutes.

    Remove cake in a bowl and pour sugar syrup to soak.

    Garnish Malva pudding with kiwi fruit wedges and blue berries.
  8. 8

    Malva pudding is ready to be served.
