INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Eggs
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence
  • For Malai
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 can Condensed milk
  • 1/4 tsp Saffron
  • Few Chopped pistachios
  • Few Chopped Cashew nuts
  • Few Chopped Almonds

PREPARATION

    Cake In a wide bowl add 5 eggs and 1/2 cup of sugar, beat on medium speed for 2 - 3 minutes. Add remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, and beat until fluffy. Add 1/2 cup of softened butter and combine well. Now add 1 cup of all-purpose flour and 1 tsp baking soda. Cut and fold the batter, until mixed well. Now add 1/4 cup of milk and `1 tsp vanilla essence and mix gently. Now pour the batter on a greased pan. Preheat the oven to 180 F/360 C, bake the cake for 40 - 50 minutes. Once done, insert a toothpick, if it comes out clean, the cake is ready, and keep it aside.

    Malai In a pan add 2 cups of milk and boil. Add 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and mix. Now add 1/4 tsp saffron, few chopped pistachios, cashews, and almonds. Mix everything well and keep it aside.

    Malai cake Level the cake evenly. Keep it in a container and prick with a fork. Add prepared malai. Refrigerate for an hour. The soft, spongy, juicy cake is ready.
