  • 1 cup sweet corn kernels
  • 3 tsp oil
  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 4 to 5 curry leaves
  • 2 tsp ginger
  • 1/4 cup carrots
  • 3 tsp dry coconut
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp green chilli
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • water
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 8 to 10 french beans
  • 8 to 10 coconut

    For Makai Upma: Ground the corn kernels in a grinder. Then take a Kadai or a pan, add oil, cumin seeds and mustard seeds.

    Let it crackle. Add curry leaves ginger and grated coconut and mix it well with a spatula.

    Add turmeric powder, green chillies, salt and black pepper. Mix the corn kernels mixture with it.

    Pour some water and salt into it and allow it to cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

    Sprinkle coriander leaves and lime juice on the upma and transfer it into a fresh bowl.

    For side dish: In the same kadai or pan, add French beans, grated coconut, coriander leaves, salt, sliced coconut leaves and oil.

    Mix all the ingredients well. Serve it with Makai Upma.
