INGREDIENTS

  • For Dough
  • 2 cups Whole Wheat flour
  • 4 tbsp Curd
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder
  • 3 tbsp Ghee
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp Carom seeds
  • Water
  • For Stuffing
  • 1 cup Sattu
  • 1 tsp Black Salt
  • 1 tsp Green Chillies
  • 1 tbsp Ginger
  • 2 tbsp Coriander
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp Coriander seeds
  • ½ tsp Nigella seeds
  • 4 tbsp Mustard oil
  • For Chokha
  • ½ Brijjal
  • Oil
  • 3 Potatoes
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp Mustard oil

PREPARATION

    For litti dough knead whole wheat flour with, curd, baking powder, ghee, salt, carom seeds, water and make a tight dough.
  2. 2

    For litti stuffing take sattu, black salt, green chillies, ginger, coriander, cumin seeds and mix well, roast the pickle masala, mustard seeds, 1 tsp fennel seeds, 1 tsp coriander seeds and crush them in mortar pastle.

    Add to the litti stuffing, add mustard oil to the litti stuffing and mix well.

    Take the dough into equal size balls, flatten the ball and stuff substantial amount of stuffing in the litti and close it.

    Bake the litti in the over or gas tandoor till done.

    Finish it with roasting on sigri with some ghee.

    For cokha roast brinjal and boil patatoes.
  8. 8

    In a bowl mash peeled boiled potatoes, add chopped onions, chopped green chillies, chopped coriander leaves, salt, red chilli powder and mustard oil.

    Mix the chokha well and serve it with bake litti and ghee.
  10. 10

    Serve chokha with hot litti and ghee.
