  • 500 gm bottle gourd
  • 4 tbsp refined flour
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp fennel powder
  • 1 tbsp cardamom powder
  • water as required
  • 2 dry red chillies
  • asafoetida
  • 10 cloves
  • 1 cup curd
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • oil for deep frying

    Scoop out the inner part of bottle gourd, cut them in circular shapes and transfer them to a bowl. Add refined flour, kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix.

    In a bowl, mix fennel powder, cardamom powder, cumin powder, water. Heat oil in a pan and add red chilli, asafoetida, cloves, masala paste, curd, salt and mix well.

    Deep fry the lauki slices in oil. Place the slices on the serving plate and pour the gravy on it. Garnish it with cloves, fennel powder, cumin powder, cardamom powder and curd.

    Lauki Yakhni is ready to serve.
