Lauki Yakhni

  • For Lauki Yakhni: 500 gm bottle gourd
  • 4 tbsp refined flour
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • oil
  • 2 tsp fennel powder
  • 1 tbsp cardamom powder1 tsp cumin powder
  • water
  • 2 dry red chillies
  • few asafoetida
  • 10 cloves
  • 1 cup curd
  • salt

    Procedure to make Lauki Yakhni: Scoop out the inner part of bottle gourd, cut them in circular shapes and add them in a bowl.

    To the bowl add refined flour, Kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix it well.

    For deep frying add oil in a frying pan and let it heat.
  4. 4

    In another pan add oil and let it heat.
  5. 5

    In a bowl add fennel powder, cardamom powder, cumin powder, water and mix it well.

    To the pan add red chilli, asafoetida, cloves, the paste of masala and mix it.

    Add curd and let it cook.

    Deep fry the slices of Lauki in the oil.
  9. 9

    To the gravy add salt and stir it.
  10. 10

    On a plate add slices of lauki, gravy, red chilli.
  11. 11

    To garnish add cloves, fennel powder, cumin powder, cardamom powder, curd and Lauki Yakhni is ready to serve.
