INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tbsp clarified butter
  • 1 cup grated bottle gourd
  • 1 cup condensed milk solids
  • 5 to 6 tbsp caster sugar
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder
  • For Garnish Pistachio powder
  • Cashew nuts

PREPARATION

    Heat clarified butter in a pan and add the grated bottle gourd and fry well. Let the bottle gourd release its water content. Cook till the bottle gourd turns brown. Add the condensed milk solids and mix well. Also add caster sugar and mix again. Evaporate the excess water. Add cardamom powder and again mix well. Garnish the halwa with pistachio powder and cashew nuts and serve.
