INGREDIENTS

  • FOR The Cake
  • 1 cup refined flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 125 gm butter
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • ½ cup milk
  • salt to taste
  • FOR The Chocolate Sauce
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1cup waterboiled
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut

HOW TO PREPARE LAMINGTONS

    To a bowl add refined flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. 2

    Strain the flour add castor sugar to the mixture and blend it in a mixer.
  3. 3

    Add egg and vanilla essence and milk and fold the batter to make it soft again.
  4. 4

    Add some refined flour and mix it well.
  5. 5

    5 Line the baking tray with butter paper and pour the mixture and smooth out.
  6. 6

    Bake in a pre heated oven at 180 C for 20 to 25 minutes.

    Make the chocolate sauce by mixing cocoa powder, icing sugar, butter and boiling water.
  8. 8

    Mix well and the chocolate sauce is ready.
  9. 9

    Remove the cake from the oven, allow it cool and cut it into small cubes.
  10. 10

    Dip the cubes in chocolate sauce and coat them well.
  11. 11

    In a separate bowl, take desiccated coconut and dip the cubes into it.
  12. 12

    Your lamingtons are ready to be served.
