INGREDIENTS

  • 10 to 12 lady’s fingers
  • oil for frying
  • For The Batter 1 cup gram flour
  • 1 cup rice flour
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp All ground spice
  • ½ tsp dry mango powder
  • salt to taste
  • water
  • For Garnish: Carrot juliennes
  • chopped coriander
  • grated coconut
  • For Serving: Tamarind chutney

HOW TO PREPARE KURKURI BHINDI

    In a bowl mix equal quantities of gram flour and rice flour.

    Add water to prepare batter.
  3. 3

    To this batter, add red chilli powder, all ground spice, dry mango powder, and salt.

    Mix well.
  5. 5

    Hold the lady's finger lengthwise and cut slantwise.
  6. 6

    Add to the batter and mix gently.
  7. 7

    Deep fry the lady's fingers till brown.
  8. 8

    Decorate the serving plate with carrot juliennes.

    Place kurkuri bhindi on it.
  10. 10

    Garnish with chopped coriander and grated coconut.
  11. 11

    Serve the bhindi with tamarind chutney.
