  • For Syrup
  • Hot water
  • 1/2 cup jaggery
  • 1 tsp tamarind pulp
  • Water
  • For Batter
  • Few coriander leaves finely chopped 2 green chillies chopped 1/2 tsp Carom seeds ½ tsp sesame seeds 1 tsp coriander powder ½ tsp asafoetida 1 cup gram flour Salt to taste 1 tbsp coriander seeds crushed Oil for brushing 1 tbsp oil Alsi chutney

    For syrup combine jaggery, tamarind pulp, and boiled water in a pan and mix well. Transfer the syrup to a bowl add water and salt and mix to dissolve salt. For the batter in a mixing bowl, combine chopped coriander, green chillies, carom seeds, sesame seeds, coriander powder, asafoetida, gram flour, salt, jaggery syrup, and crushed coriander seeds. Mix well. Brush oil on a plate and pour the batter. Steam kothimbir wadi for 15 min. Once steamed cool for some time and cut into pieces , In a pan, heat oil and add steamed wadi and roast. Serve kothimbir wadi with alsi chutney. Garnish with coriander sprigs.
