INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • salt
  • water
  • 250 gm paneer
  • oil for frying
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 3 dried red chillies
  • 4 red chillies
  • 2 - 3 tbsp oil
  • 50 - 75 gm oregano
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 - 3 onions
  • 1 capsicum
  • 1/2 red bell pepper
  • 5 - 6 spring onions
  • 1 - 2 tbsp cornstarch slurry
  • coriander leaves

PREPARATION

    Mix cornstarch, all-purpose flour, salt and water in a bowl to make a thick batter.
  2. 2

    Dry the paneer cubes using a cloth to remove the excess moisture. Coat the paneer with the batter and fry in hot oil.
  3. 3

    Heat oil in a pan and add ginger, garlic, dried red chillies, red chillies, oregano, soy sauce, vinegar, tomato sauce and water.

    Add onion, capsicum, red bell pepper, spring onions, cornstarch slurry and mix well.

    Add fried paneer pieces, chopped coriander and mix well. Kolkata Chilli Paneer is ready to serve.
