HOW TO PREPARE KOLAMBI BHAAT

    For the marination: In a mixing bowl, add prawns, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, asafoetida, ginger garlic paste and kokam.

    Mix them wel and allow it to rest for some time.

    For the rice: Heat oil in a pan.
  4. 4

    Add cumin seeds, bay leaves, black peppercorns, black cardamom, cloves, cinnamon stick, onions, ginger garlic paste, chopped tomatoes and salt.

    Saut� them well.

    Then, add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, goda masala and slit green chillies.

    Add the marinated prawns, basmati rice and water.
  8. 8

    Mix it well and cook the rice for 20 to 30 minutes.
  9. 9

    Your kolambi bhaat is ready to be served.
