INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 cup khoya
  • 1 cup chenna
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • soda bicarbonate
  • water
  • oil for frying
  • FOR spice mix
  • 5 green cardamom
  • 1 black cardamom
  • ½ tsp fennel
  • pinch of nutmeg

HOW TO PREPARE KHIRA GAJA

    In a pan, add water, bay leaves, sugar and let it cook until it turns sticky.

    In a plate, add chenna, khoya and mix it well.
  3. 3

    Add refined flour, ghee, soda bicarbonate and prepare a dough.
  4. 4

    Add the spice mix in the dough and mix it well.
  5. 5

    Roll the dough in a cylindrical shape and deep fry until it turns golden.
  6. 6

    Dip the Khira Gaja in the sugar syrup and leave it to soak.
