INGREDIENTS

  • FOR Khichu
  • ½ cup red millet flour
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • Water
  • Salt
  • 3 green chillies
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • ½ cup French beans
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 spring onion greens
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • FOR Popcorn Lassi
  • 2 cup popcorns
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Water
  • FOR Garnish
  • 1 raw mango
  • ½ tbsp sesame seeds
  • ½ tbsp cinnamon powder roasted

HOW TO PREPARE KHICHU

  1. 1

    Dry roast red millet flour in a pan.
  2. 2

    In a bowl, whisk yogurt, water, and salt.
  3. 3

    In a pan, heat oil and fry green chillies.
  4. 4

    Set them aside.
  5. 5

    In the same pan, add chopped ginger, spring onion greens, carrot, red millet flour, milk, and salt.
  6. 6

    Mix well and let it cook.
  7. 7

    Add chopped French beans.
  8. 8

    Cook well.
  9. 9

    In a blender, blend popcorn, yogurt, sugar, and water.
  10. 10

    Garnish with raw mango, fried green chillies, sesame seeds, roasted cumin powder, and popcorn.
  11. 11

    Serve khichu with popcorn lassi.
