INGREDIENTS

  • FOR Roti
  • 1 Cup Whole wheat flour
  • Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Ajwain
  • 1 tsp Ghee
  • Water
  • FOR Dal
  • 1 Cup Cooked Dal
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1/2 Cumin Seeds
  • 1-2 Dried Red Chillies
  • Curry Leaves
  • 1/2 Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 Asafoetida

HOW TO PREPARE KHASTA ROTI

    In a bowl, add 1 cup wheat flour, salt, 1 tsp ajwain, 1 tbsp ghee.

    Rub the ghee into the flour and knead it into soft dough using little water.

    Dust some flour on the workstation and roll the dough ball into a round roti.

    Prick the roti with a fork and cook it on a hot pan.
  5. 5

    Apply some oil on the roti.

    Boil a cup of cooked dal in a bowl.

    In another pan, add 1 tbsp oil, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 2-3 red chillies, 5-6 curry leaves, ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp asafoetida.

    Tempering is ready, pour it over the dal.
