  • FOR Roti
  • {1 Cup Whole wheat flour, Salt, 1/2 tsp Ajwain, 1 tsp Ghee, Water};
  • FOR Dal
  • {1 Cup Cooked Dal, 1 tsp Oil, 1/2 Cumin Seeds, 1-2 Dried Red Chillies, Curry Leaves, 1/2 Turmeric Powder, 1/2 Asafoetida}

    In a bowl, add 1 cup wheat flour, salt, 1 tsp ajwain, 1 tbsp ghee.

    ; Rub the ghee into the flour and knead it into soft dough using little water.

    ; Dust some flour on the workstation and roll the dough ball into a round roti.

    ; Prick the roti with a fork and cook it on a hot pan.

    ; Apply some oil on the roti.

    ; Boil a cup of cooked dal in a bowl.

    ; In another pan, add 1 tbsp oil, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 2-3 red chillies, 5-6 curry leaves, ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp asafoetida.

    ; Tempering is ready, pour it over the dal.

    ; Simmer the dal and serve it with the khasta roti topped with some ghee.
