INGREDIENTS

  • FOR Jalebi Batter
  • ½ cup Refined flour
  • 2 to 3 tbsp semolina
  • 2 tbsp Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp pandanus water
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1½ tbsp Saffron water
  • water
  • Oil for frying
  • FOR Jalebi Syrup
  • ½ cup sugar syrup
  • 2 tsp Saffron water
  • FOR Garnish
  • Almond Flakes

HOW TO PREPARE KARARI JALEBI

  1. 1

    For the jalebi batter combine refined flour, semolina, yogurt, sugar, baking powder, pandanus water, cardamom powder, and saffron water.

    Mix well by adding little water.
  3. 3

    Let the batter ferment for 2 hours.
  4. 4

    Transfer the fermented batter to a squeezy bottle.
  5. 5

    Heat oil in a pan.
  6. 6

    Make jalebis directly in the heated oil.
  7. 7

    Deer fry the jalebis.
  8. 8

    Meanwhile, combine sugar syrup with saffron water.
  9. 9

    Coat jalebis evenly with the saffron flavoured sugar syrup.
  10. 10

    Transfer jalebis to a serving plate.
  11. 11

    Garnish with some almond flakes.
