INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup Bengal gram, soaked
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp ginger green chilli paste
  • 1/4 cup onions
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1/4 tsp fennel seeds, Salt, oil

HOW TO PREPARE KALMI VADA

    In a mixer grinder, add soaked Bengal gram and water.
  2. 2

    Grind the dal well until it forms a paste.
  3. 3

    Transfer the paste into a bowl.
  4. 4

    Then, add ginger green chilli paste, chopped onions, red chilli powder, crushed coriander seeds, fennel seeds and salt.

    Mix all ingredients well.
  6. 6

    Make small vadas from the mixture.
  7. 7

    Heat oil in a pan.
  8. 8

    Deep fry the vadas until they turn golden brown.
  9. 9

    Kalmi vadas are ready to be served.
