INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup soaked and boiled Bengal gram
  • 2 to 3 tbsp peanut oil
  • 2 to 3 dry red chillies
  • 1 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 2 tbsp black gram
  • 1 tsp green chillies
  • 10 to 12 curry leaves
  • 2 to 3 tbsp grated coconut
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • Banana leaf
  • grated coconut
  • black gram cooked

HOW TO PREPARE KALA CHANNA SUNDAL

    Use soaked (for 4 to 5 hours) Bengal gram which is boiled with water and salt.

    In a pan, heat peanut oil, add dry red chillies, mustard, black gram, chopped green chillies, curry leaves, grated coconut and soaked and boiled Bengal gram.

    Mix and toss well.

    Add salt, lime juice and toss again.

    Garnish it on banana leaf with grated coconut and roasted Bengal gram dal.
