INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 Cup Pumpkin
  • 1 French Beans
  • 1/2 cup Cluster beans
  • 1/2 cup Gawaar Falli
  • 1 Orange Carrots
  • 1 Potato
  • 1 Brinjal
  • 1/2 Cup Turdal
  • 1/2 Cup Rice
  • 1/2 tsp Channa Dal
  • 1/2 tsp Fenugreek Seeds
  • 1/2 Coriander Seeds
  • 1 to 2 Dry Red Chillies
  • Few Curry Leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Sambhar Masala
  • water

HOW TO PREPARE KADHAMBA SAADHAM

    Wash and cook ½ cup Tur dal in 2 cups water and 1 tsp turmeric.

    Wash 1 cup rice and cook it in a pan.
  3. 3

    Heat a pan, and add 1 tsp oil, add 1 tsp chana dal, ½ tsp fenugreek seeds, 1 tsp coriander seeds, 2-3 dry red chillies, 4-5 curry leaves and mix well.

    Add 1 cup diced pumpkin, 4-5 French beans, 4-5 cluster beans, 1 diced brinjal, 1 diced carrot, 1 diced potato and sauté.

    Add 1 tsp asafoetida, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp sambhar masala and sauté well.

    Add 1 tbsp tamarind water and mix well.

    Add some water and simmer.
  8. 8

    Strain the cooked rice and dal and add to the vegetables and mix well.
  9. 9

    Serve the rice with pappadams and garnish with coriander.
