INGREDIENTS

  • 3 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 cup Bansmati Rice
  • ½ cup Water
  • 1 cup Jaggery
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ½ tsp Green Cardamom
  • 3 Cloves
  • 6 Pistachio
  • 8 Almonds
  • 6 cashew
  • 10 Raisins
  • ½ cup Fresh Coconut
  • 2 cups Water

HOW TO PREPARE JIRWANI

  1. 1

    Warm ghee in a pan, add rice and roast it till golden brown.
  2. 2

    grind the sautéed rice and keep aside.
  3. 3

    in another pan add water, jaggery stir well to make a syrup.
  4. 4

    add grinded rice in jaggery syrup add milk, crushed cardamom powder and sauté.
  5. 5

    in another pan warm ghee, add cloves, pistachio, almonds, cashew, raisins and fry.
  6. 6

    add fresh grated coconut in rasiya add water and let the rice cook.
  7. 7

    add dry fruits in rasiya and sauté.
  8. 8

    remove rasiya from the pan.
  9. 9

    garnish with fried and chopped pistachio.
  10. 10

    serve rasiya hot or chilled as per your preference.
