INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup spaghetti
  • Water
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 8 to 10 curry leaves
  • 2 tbsp black gram
  • 3 green chillies
  • 2 tbsp split chickpeas
  • 1 tsp asafoetida
  • 2½ tbsp cashew nuts
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 1½ tbsp ginger
  • ½ cup carrots
  • 1 cup curd
  • 2 pickled red chillies
  • 1 spring coriander

HOW TO PREPARE INDIAN STYLE BREAKFAST SANDWICH

    Heat oil in a saucepan.

    Add butter chopped garlic, chopped onions, cumin seeds, chopped tomatoes, ginger juliennes, cumin powder, crushed black pepper, blanched spinach leaves and salt.

    Mix them well and keep it aside.

    Then top it off with grated cheese.

    For the batter: In a mixing bowl, add gram flour, chopped coriander leaves, chopped green chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and water.

    Mix it well and allow it to rest for 10 minutes.

    For the sandwich Apply butter on brown bread slices.

    Then spread the prepared filling in the bread and cover it with another bread slice.

    Coat the sandwich with the prepared batter.

    Then, melt butter in a pan and toast the sandwich.

    Toast the bread until it turns golden brown.

    Serve prepared sandwich with tamarind chutney and garnish it with lettuce leaves and a sprig of coriander leaf.
