  • 5 to 6 idlis cubed skewer sticks
  • 1 tsp oil
  • For Marinade: 1 tsp red chilli paste
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 ½ tsp ginger paste
  • ½ tsp honey
  • 1 tsp tomato ketchup
  • ½ cup mixed bell peppers and onions, cubed
  • 2 tsp coriander, chopped
  • 2 tsp spring onion greens, chopped
  • crushed black pepper, to taste
  • salt, to taste

    Cut the idlis into small cubes.

    Mix the chopped idlis with red chilli paste, oil, ginger paste, honey, tomato sauce, crushed black pepper and salt.

    Add chopped mixed bell peppers and onion cubes, chopped coriander and chopped spring onion greens.

    Mix gently and set aside.
  5. 5

    On the skewer sticks, arrange the idlis and vegetables (onions and bell peppers).
  6. 6

    Heat oil in a pan and sear the idlis shashliks.
