  • For Tikki
  • 1 cup boiled and mashed sweet potatoes
  • 2 tbsp kasundi
  • ¼ cup all purpose flour
  • 1 sliced star fruit
  • Water
  • Salt
  • For Accompaniment
  • 3 chopped spring onions
  • 1 tsp chopped garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 100 gm cottage cheese mashed
  • For Salad
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 1 star fruit chopped
  • Salt
  • ½ tsp oil
  • Black pepper powder
  • coriander leaves

    Knead a dough with boiled and mashed sweet potatoes kasundi, and all purpose flour. Slice the star fruit. Flatten the dough, place star fruit slices on it, and roll to form a tikki. Heat water in a pan and add salt. Dip the tikkis in it and let them poach. In a pan, heat oil. Add poached tikkis garlic, spring onions, and mashed cottage cheese. Cook till tikkis are done. Transfer the tikkis to a plate. In the same pan, add water, kasundi, and salt. Cook well. For the salad, mix chopped tomato, star fruit slices, salt, oil, coriander leaves, and black pepper in a mixing bowl. Serve the tikkis with cooked veggies and salad. Garnish with coriander sprigs.
