INGREDIENTS

  • FOR Mangodi Dal Roti
  • 100 gm Mangodi
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1 green chilli
  • A pinch of Asafoetida
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • Salt as per taste
  • FOR Stuffing
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 inch ginger
  • Ghee
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tbsp coriander powder
  • Lime Juice
  • FOR Haldi ki Sabji
  • 3 1/2 tbsp ghee
  • 1/2 cup fresh turmeric
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1/2 tbsp dried red chilli paste
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt as per taste
  • Cardamom powder
  • Refined flour dough
  • Oil for frying
  • Coriander leaves for Garnish

HOW TO PREPARE HALDI KI SABJI WITH MANGODI DAL ROTI

    Grind the Mangodi and add it in a bowl.
  2. 2

    In a heated pan add ghee, cumin seeds, chopped green chilli, asafoetida, turmeric powder, ginger, mangodi and stir it.
  3. 3

    Add salt, water and let it cook.
  4. 4

    For peas stuffing, in a heated pan, add ghee, cumin seeds, the mixture of green peas, green chilli, ginger and saute.
  5. 5

    Add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder and mix well.
  6. 6

    Add lime juice when the green peas stuffing cools down.
  7. 7

    Stuff the refined flour dough with the mixture of green peas.
  8. 8

    Flatten the Matar ki Puri using hands and deep fry it in the oil until it turns crispy and red.

    For Haldi ki Sabji, in a heated pan, add ghee, cumin seeds, chopped fresh turmeric and let it cook.

    Add chopped ginger, garlic and mix it well.

    Add chopped green chilli, dried red chilli paste and mix it well.

    ; Add turmeric powder, salt, cardamom powder and mix again.
