Procedure to make Gurwale Shalgam: Finely chop onions. , In a heated pan add desi ghee, butter and let it melt. , Add finely chopped ginger, green chillies, onions and let it cook until it turns light brown. , To the onions add chopped turnips and toss it. , In a bowl add Kashmiri red chilli powder, sambar masala, allspice powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, water and mix it well. , To the turnips add masala and let it cook. , Add finely chopped coriander leaves and stir it. , In a bowl add jaggery, lemon juice and finely chopped coriander leaves. , In the pan add water, jaggery mixture and mix it well. , Chop slices of ginger and add lemon juice to it. , On the sigdi char the green chillies. , In a bowl add Shalgam. , To garnish add ginger, coriander leaves, cumin powder, green chilli, red chilli powder and Gurwale Shalgam is ready to serve.
