Caramelise the sugar in a pan and heat it till turns a golden colour. Overheating alters the taste of caramel to bitter. Turn off the stove and add butter, honey, oats, raisins, chopped nuts, melon seeds, crushed corn flakes and mix well. Grease a steel plate with oil and place the mixture on it. With the help of a spatula press down the mixture and allow it to dry for some time. Cut into small bars and wrap them in butter paper for later use.
