Granola Bar
Start your day with a power-packed granola bar made of varied ingredients from oats, honey, raisins, chopped nuts and crushed corn flakes. You can also wrap them in butter paper while serving it.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 to 5 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • ½ cup oats
  • 2 tbsp raisins
  • ½ cup nuts
  • chopped
  • 1 cup melon seeds
  • ½ cup corn flakes (crushed)
  • oil for greasing
  • butter paper for wrapping

HOW TO PREPARE GRANOLA BAR

  1. 1

    Caramelise the sugar in a pan and heat it till turns a golden colour.
  2. 2

    Overheating alters the taste of caramel to bitter.
  3. 3

    Turn off the stove and add butter, honey, oats, raisins, chopped nuts, melon seeds, crushed corn flakes and mix well.
  4. 4

    Grease a steel plate with oil and place the mixture on it.
  5. 5

    With the help of a spatula press down the mixture and allow it to dry for some time.
  6. 6

    Cut into small bars and wrap them in butter paper for later use.
