Gosht Awadhi Korma

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 tbsp ghee
  • 8 green cardamom
  • 2 bay leaf & 4 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick & 1 tsp shahi jeera
  • 1 tsp ginger- garlic paste
  • 500-gm mutton
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 cup of rice
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder & 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1 tbsp fried onion paste
  • 200 ml of water
  • 1 tbsp fried cashew paste
  • 1 tsp kewra water
  • Cardamom powder
  • Nutmeg powder

HOW TO PREPARE GOSHT AWADHI KORMA

    In a heated pan, add ghee, green cardamom, bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon stick, shahi jeera, ginger-garlic paste.

    Add mutton and fry it.

    Add salt as per taste and toss it.
  4. 4

    Soak rice in the water.
  5. 5

    In another bowl, add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, water and mix it well.

    Add the spice mix, curd and keep stirring it.
  7. 7

    Add fried onion paste, water, fried cashew paste and stir it.
  8. 8

    Leave the curry to cook.

    Add kewra water, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder, saffron and stir it.

    In another heated pan, add water, green cardamom, kewra water, bay leaf, a pinch of salt, soaked rice and let it cook.

    Strain the cooked rice in a bowl.
  12. 12

    Drizzle saffron over rice and serve with the curry.
