INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • ½ cup Coconut
  • grated
  • Ghee as required
  • For Batter :1 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp jaggery syrup
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • water as required
  • For Garnish: Jaggery syrup
  • Rose syrup
  • Rose petals
  • grated coconut
  • Mint leaves

HOW TO PREPARE GODHUMAI ADAI

  1. 1

    Heat ghee in a pan and add the grated coconut.
  2. 2

    Roast on a low flame till light brown and set aside in a bowl.
  3. 3

    In a bowl, add flour, water, grated coconut and jaggery syrup.
  4. 4

    Mix well.
  5. 5

    Add cardamom powder and mix water again for a batter.
  6. 6

    Allow it to rest for 10 12 minutes.
  7. 7

    Heat a pan and drop teaspoonful's of batter to make adai.
  8. 8

    Drizzle with ghee and roast on both the sides.
  9. 9

    Decorate the serving dish with jaggery syrup, rose syrup, rose petals and grated coconut.
  10. 10

    Place adai in the centre.
  11. 11

    Drizzle with jaggery syrup and sprinkle grated coconut.
  12. 12

    Place other adais over it and repeat the process.
  13. 13

    Garnish with rose petals and mint leaves.
