  • Street style Gobi Manchurian:
  • Karnataka special..
  • Ingredients;
  • For Manchurian
  • 1 medium chopped cauliflower
  • 4tbsp maida
  • 6tbsp cornflour
  • 1tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • Some curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Pinch of food colour
  • Little water for binding( 4-5 tbsp )
  • 1tsp chicken masala
  • 1tsp red chilli powder
  • Oil for frying
  • For red sauce:
  • 1 cup water
  • 1tbsp cornflour
  • Pinch of food colour
  • 2tbsp tomato ketchup
  • Salt to taste
  • 1tbsp taste powder( Ajinomoto )
  • For tempering;
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 cup ginger, garlic and green chilli paste
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped capsicum
  • 1tbsp chicken masala
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2tsp vinegar
  • Some chopped coriander for garnishing

    Boil 350g of medium chopped cauliflower for 5 minutes.

    After boiling, add red chilli powder, chicken masala, salt to taste, ginger garlic paste, curry leaves, 4tbsp maida, 6tbsp cornflour and pinch of food colour in to our boiled cauliflower; the add little water and mix well. Fry them in hot oil on medium flame. Then take out fried cauliflower from hot oil and then again fry (refrthem on high flame for 5 minutes, to make it more crispy.

    In a bowl, add 1tbsp cornflour, 2tbsp tomato ketchup, salt to taste, pinch of food colour and 1 cup of water. Then add 1tbsp ajinomoto in it and let boil for few minutes until it becomes thick gravy.

    Take a pan, heat some oil and then add chopped onion, capsicum, (3 green chilli, 5 cloves of garlic and inch of gingepaste and cook for some time then add black pepper, chicken masala, vinegar, red chilli powder and mix them well. Then put the gravy and fried cauliflower. Cook until the gravy is absorbed by the cauliflower. Our Gobi Manchurian is ready.

    Garnish it with some chopped onion, capsicum and coriander.
