INGREDIENTS

  • 2-3 tsp ghee
  • 8-10 cashewnuts
  • 6-8 raisins1 bay leaf
  • 4-5 cloves
  • 2-3 green cardamom
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 strand mace
  • 2 big green chillies slit into half
  • 1 bowl rice
  • 2 1/2 cup water
  • salt
  • For Garnish
  • 2-3 tsp ghee
  • 8-10 cashew nuts
  • 6-8 raisins
  • 1 finely sliced onion

PREPARATION

    For garnishing: Heat ghee in a cooker, add cashew nuts and raisins.

    Once they turn golden brown, remove them from the cooker.
  3. 3

    In the same cooker, add finely sliced onions and fry until they turn golden brown. Keep them aside.

    For the rice: Add ghee in the cooker then, add a bay leaf, cloves, pods of green cardamom, cinnamon stick, a strand of mace and green chillies.

    Add a bowl of rice, water and salt and mix them well.

    Cook the rice for 6-8 minutes.

    Garnish the rice with the fried ingredients.
