INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 to 2 bay leaf
  • 2 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 onions
  • salt
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp degi mirch powder
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • 2 potatoes and carrots
  • ¼ cup green peas
  • water
  • 1½ cup boiled wheat
  • ½ cup paneer
  • 1½ tsp butter
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 tbsp pickle

HOW TO PREPARE GEHU KI TEHRI

    Heat oil in a saucepan.
  2. 2

    Add cumin seeds bay leaves, cinnamon stick, cloves, finely chopped onions, coriander powder, turmeric powder, degi mirch powder, cumin powder and salt.

    Sauté them well.
  4. 4

    Then, add chopped potatoes, chopped carrots, green peas and water.
  5. 5

    Cover and cook until the potatoes are cooked.
  6. 6

    Add wheat (soaked overnight and boiled), grated paneer, salt and water.
  7. 7

    Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  8. 8

    Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
  9. 9

    For the Plating: Melt butter in a pan.
  10. 10

    Add diced tomatoes and pickle.
  11. 11

    Serve the prepared tomato mixture with Gehu Ki Tehri.
  12. 12

    Garnish it with the sprig of coriander leaves.
