Fish With Sichuan Pepper

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 basa fish fillets
  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 pinch sichuan pepper powder
  • 2 tsp roasted cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • salt
  • 1 tsp oil for coating
  • oil for frying
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • spring onion shoots
  • 1 carrot

HOW TO PREPARE FISH WITH SICHUAN PEPPER

  1. 1

    Marinate fish with dark soy sauce and sichuan pepper powder. Mix pepper, dry roasted and ground cumin seeds, and chilli flakes in a bowl.

    Marinade the fish with salt, spice mix and olive oil.

    Bake the fish in a preheated oven at 180' C for 5 min.

    Alternatively, pan sear the fish by heating oil in a pan and cooking for 2 minutes on each side or until the fish is cooked.

    Garnish the fish with carrot and spring onion greens. Serve hot.
